The structure of membranes is in the form of a capillary pipe and they work according to the cross-flow method. Raw water entering the capillary tubes passes through 0.01 micron sized pores on the membrane’s surface serving as a barrier for bacteria, viruses and other microorganisms thus allowing for water purification without the use of chemicals.
